At Night
Pick up from hotel in Uyuni around 10:00 p.m. departure towards the salt flats about 30 minutes, after this observe stars, planets, Milky Way, nebula and other astronomical bodies. Back in Uyuni approximately 00:30 a.m. hours.
With its high altitude, arid climate, and low population density (which translates to minimal light pollution), Uyuni Salt Flats offers some of the clearest night time views of the stars, moon, and planets. But it’s just one of many destinations around the world that cater to celestial enthusiasts—and where the nighttime views rival those in the daytime.
This itinerary is subject to change without prior notice according to weather conditions, strikes, roadblocks, or force majeure events which are beyond our control. We will always do our best to follow the itinerary as close as possible.
Important Info
During the rainy season from January to April, the Salt Flats fill up with water so it is not possible to cross them in the same way as during dry season. As a consequence, the itinerary is modified during that period.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Please arrive to our Local Office at least 15 minutes prior to departure. You must check in for the tour at 10:00 pm if you are already in Uyuni. Otherwise we may pick you up from your hostel.
REMEMBER
It can get very cold especially during the winter months of June and July so bring extra warm clothes along like a scarf and wool hat to keep warm. We also recommend bringing an extra 2 litres of water so you can have enough water for the whole trip.
