Accommodation / Facilities on Tour
The accommodation on SAJAMA tour will be bare-bones basic with basic cots in shared rooms. On occasion there may not be electricity or running water due to lack of infrastructure and services in the national park. You will be travelling in the high plateau and in the middle of the desert – toilet facilities will only be available and might have a small local cost.
Departure Point: Accommodation/Bus station / Airport
Arrival / Finishing Point: If you start your tour from La Paz City, you will finish in La Paz City.
If you start your tour from Uyuni City, you will finish in Uyuni City.
Remember
- ON THE REGULAR TOUR: It can get very cold especially during the winter months of May to August so bring extra warm clothes along like a scarf and wool hat to keep warm. We also recommend bringing an extra 5 litres of water so you can have enough water for the whole trip.
- ON THE UPGRADED TOUR: Accommodation ; heaters are guaranteed and water is provided. (see comparison sheet).
Important Info
During the rainy season from January to April, the SAJAMA National Park fill up with water so it is not possible to cross them in the same way as during dry season.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO PREDICT THE WHEATHER DUE TO GLOBAL WARMING NOT EVEN WITH THE MOST ADVANCED TOOLS NOWADAYS
